Thank you Lord for Water.  Without water our best land becomes a desert.  With water our deserts yield food for the world.  Be a conservative and be mindful of your water usage.

God made a farmer by Paul Harvey.  I would like to comment, but after hearing how  Paul Harvey describes  a farmer,  everything in me shouts “yes”!  Paul describes my brother-in-law’s life.  Always working, caring for people and animals and crops; seldom taking a vacation. Always putting other’s needs ahead of theirs.   God Bless our farmers who give of their time and talent to make it possible for us to survive.  We take it for granted food will arrive at Safeway tomorrow, fresh and clean ready for us to eat.  Let us not forget that before it arrived at Safeway, someone had to plant, cultivate, weed, fertilize,  harvest and deliver the food we eat.  It just didn’t show up without much effort and risk.  Be thankful someone decided to be a farmer.

Farm Labor:  The future points to less humans and more AI infused machinery.  Look at this video!  It shows the future.  The future shifts from less productive human workers to AI-equipped machinery exponentially enhancing productive.

To be competitive in the future, farms must  incorporate the efarmer mentality—utilizing less human labor and more AI-enhanced machines. Reducing labor costs and the uncertainty of future labor supply, coupled with exponential increase in productivity, insure efarmers will enhance their profitability and sustainability.
