Making Sourdough Bread

I made the best sourdough bread yesterday and thought you might like more information on baking bread. Maybe you can learn to bake a loaf too and share it with a neighbor, family, or friends- it also makes the best toast for breakfast…yum!

I have been using, Artisan Sourdough Made Simple: A Beginner’s Guide to Delicious Handcrafted Bread with Minimal Kneading by Emilie Raffa to help in my bread-making journey. I have a Le Creuset Dutch Oven to cook the bread.

Paul Harvey: God make a Farmer!

God made a farmer by Paul Harvey.  I would like to comment, but after hearing how  Paul Harvey describes  a farmer,  everything in me shouts “yes”!  Paul describes my brother-in-law’s life.  Always working, caring for people and animals and crops; seldom taking a vacation. Always putting other’s needs ahead of theirs.   God Bless our farmers who give of their time and talent to make it possible for us to survive.  We take it for granted food will arrive at Safeway tomorrow, fresh and clean ready for us to eat.  Let us not forget that before it arrived at Safeway, someone had to plant, cultivate, weed, fertilize,  harvest and deliver the food we eat.  It just didn’t show up without much effort and risk.  Be thankful someone decided to be a farmer.

Efarmer Mentality

Farm Labor:  The future points to less humans and more AI infused machinery.  Look at this video!  It shows the future.  The future shifts from less productive human workers to AI-equipped machinery exponentially enhancing productive.

To be competitive in the future, farms must  incorporate the efarmer mentalityutilizing less human labor and more AI-enhanced machines. Reducing labor costs and the uncertainty of future labor supply, coupled with exponential increase in productivity, insure efarmers will enhance their profitability and sustainability.

Everyone is a eFarmer.™

efarmers feed the world.

Today more than ever, the world depends on our farmers to provide enough food for the entire human race plus all the domestic animals.  That’s a ton of food.

Tomorrows population growth will demand more efficient farmers to supply our food as natural resources are stretched with higher utilization and depletion of the soil.  I’m very optimistic.

Be a better efamer: Fill out our form and tell us your short story about being an efarmer.
