One of 11 Federal Holidays

President’s Day is that it is one of only 11 federal holidays recognized by the U.S. government. In addition, it is the only federal holiday that honors the lives and achievements of multiple individuals rather than a single person, making it a celebration of the presidency as an institution.

Another unique aspect of President’s Day is that it is celebrated on the third Monday in February, which means that the exact date of the holiday changes from year to year. This is because the holiday is always celebrated on Monday between February 15th and February 21st, in order to create a long weekend for workers. This means that the holiday can fall anywhere between February 15th and February 21st, depending on the year.
